I guess this is the start of a minimalism series on this blog? Let me know if you would find it interesting if I posted more on this topic.Minimalism is free-er way of life, at least to me. It involves getting rid of everything you don't need, and so what you do have holds value.



So, for a minimalist wardrobe? How do you get this? Minimalism is defiantly not restricting at all, it's just about having a space that you love, without all the clutter.

1) Figure out your style // colour palette
- Figure out your style so that you know what it is that you love, and then figure out the colour palette you love. For me personally, I love neutral colours (or shades) of black, grey, white etc. This doesn't mean you can't buy outside of this colour palette, but it means that what you buy will match almost anything.

2) Do you really have to have it?
If you linger even for a second....you don't need it. Buy what you love, and can;t walk away from. That way the items you have in your closet are items you absolutely love.

3) Have a clear out.
Yes, that good ol' take everything out of your closet and done/chuck away, anything that cannot be worn again. And be ruthless, if you know you don;t wear it...don't just keep it...give it away, donate it etc.

 Today's post is going to be on three designers I've been loving at the moment. They aren't unestablished by any means, but are 3 designers (and brands) that I adore, and genuinely believe are making quality clothing. However, right now I'm broke so I'm going to have to stick to dying over the clothing over a screen.

Elie Saab 
There is one simple reason why I love Elie Saab's designs, they are so elegant and beautiful without being excessively "try hard" or unnaturally "out there" it fits the line completely between unique, and beautiful. 





Margaret Howell
Margaret Howell is the other spectrum of fashion I love - minimal. Her pieces are delicate, and simple, and androgynous - they really are unisex and a perfect gift (albeit a pricey one.) They perfectly reflect the designers own personal style. There is a Margaret Howell store in London, so if you're nearby - have a look.

For Love and Lemons
For Love and Lemons is headed by two women, who creates sexy, yet classy clothing. Their most popular pieces are usually their lingerie lines, with visuals that are stunning. Although their bras usually don't have a clasp, or zip...which can ya know...makes it difficult to take off...at crucial times...

All of us want to look like autumn goddesses' because you know..we're already goddesses,(thank you...I know I'm smooth as peanut butter.) but we just want to be stylish while still being comfy and warm  So what's the perfect way to dress for autumn?

Today's post is all about that minuscule (or not so small) mobile device that we spend too much time on. 'm guilty of being on my phone for hours before finally falling asleep, and in the morning? The first thing I do is check my messages - so mobile are a big part of our lives...so why not make sure you have the best apps to track your fashion! These five apps are a must-have for those looking to be inspired, or to find some beautiful new apps!





1) FEELS
A lookbook where everything a person is wearing is tagged, so you don't have to spend hours trying to look for that dress...only to find out that it's sold out. The app combines fashion and music...two of my loves, so how much better can it really get? The app is a collab between Storm models and Metropolis studios, and they know exactly what their doing.

2) THE HUNT
The Hunt does exactly what I said above...for you. Instead of having to scour the internet for hours trying to find that dress, or that band t-shirt, or that really comfy looking sweater, The Hunt does it for you. You simply upload a picture of the item you;re looking for, and other people on the app/site will tell you where you can get it! If you're feeling friendly, you could help other people too!

3) VOGUE COLLECTIONS
Ahh...Vogue. Got to admit, I'm not actually a huge fan of the magazine (all I see are ads...) but the Vogue app is the go-to place for fashion inspiration.It's simple and easy to use, while giving you lots of runway inspiration, and gorgeous clothing!

4) VINTED
Vinted is a little hit and miss, but I've included it in my top five, because I still think it's important. It's a place where you can buy and sell "vintage" clothing - it's mostly made up of items people no longer want. It's practically like being in a thrift shop - you never know when you're going to find gold, or when you're going to go home with loose change, and empty bags. But since it's less well-known, I thought it had a better place here than asos.

5) CLOTH
This app is one of those ones that let's you customise what you wear, and even has a weather feature to help you dress for the right weather in your location! You can organise your fashion wardrobe virtually, and see lots of amazing street style that others have posted!

Fashion basics to me are items that you would/should spend a little more money on (or scour the discount section) simply because they will last you a lifetime and can be so widely worn with a range of style and for lots of different occasions!





Black coats: the minimalist classic timeless ones that fit perfectly by your knee, and can be worn with anything. That’s why there so essential, because underneath the coat you could have on a plain t-shirt and jeans, or a really warm (and comfortable) sweater, but the coat looks timeless. They can be worn to business meetings, job/uni interviews, or just when going for a walk on a chilly evening.

So what can you pair black coats with? The answer is everything. Well, almost everything! While we wouldn’t recommend wearing it on top of a prom dress (who would want to anyway? Show off that gorgeous dress.) It works so well with every-day activities. If you wake up late, with fifteen minutes to get ready, and the rain is drizzling down onto the window panes, you can put on a comfy grey sweater, and leather trousers/jeans paired with ankle boots – and added onto it this black coat that makes the outfit look like you spent longer on it than you did. That’s the trick. Outfits in your closets that are essentials because they make you look like you spent hours getting ready, when actually twenty minutes earlier – you were in bed.

There’s this soft grunge look I love which involves pairing your favourite band t-shirt or some cool graphic tee, tucked into a leather skirt, and paired with the black coat. It gives your outfit more personality, and graphic t-shirts are always great conversation starters! So really, it’s a win/win all around. Although you do have to be careful how you pair it so that the two distinct styles of classic and grunge don’t clash, but rather coexist together. An awesome tip for this (if I do say so myself) is to tuck the t-shirt into the skirt, or shorts. In the winter months wear it along with tights and oxfords.
If you want to look like you mean business (which you always do, because you’re a boss!) then you can also wear it for a night out at a bar, or for a date. Along with some black heels or silver oxfords (my guilty pleasure) and fitted trousers.

Classic black coats work perfectly paired with simple delicate jewellery pieces, and especially watches (which I will be discussing later) and like I said it essential because you can basically wear it with everything and have yourself look like you tried more than you actually did!
