My Favourite Albums!
06:45Everyone who knows me, knows my addiction to music. I'm that person who has the most wide range of music tastes from country to rock, and everything in between. There's nothing I won't try. I'm going to list 5 of my favourite albums, but they are in no particular order...and I mean...there's more than 5 obviously, so if I forget one...oops.
1) Blue - Joni Mitchell
Joni Mitchell - the 70s queen with music that pierces through the soul. And no, I'm not exaggerating. Never have I heard a voice that's so touching, with lyrics that are pure perfection.
Fave Songs: The Last Time I saw Richard, Blue, California
2) Jake Bugg - Jake Bugg
Jake Bugg is Bob Dylan reincarnated. His voice is just as soulful, and he touches on issues such as the lower-class system, and a beautiful use of electric guitar!
Fave Songs: Country Song, Simple as this, Trouble Town
3) The xx - The xx
Ah, The xx. My indie loves. Jamie xx's talent (his debut solo album 'In Colour' is too good for words) combined with the vocalists amazing voices create heaven. Their music is beautiful for falling asleep to...or when you;re being philosophical. The females vocals in particular are so unique! A lot of people enjoy their song 'Angels' on their follow-up album 'coexist' so it's worth a listen (the song is beautiful!)
Fave Songs: VCR, Heart Skipped a Beat, Night Time, Stars
4) AM - Arctic Monkeys
Majority of people seem to love Arctic Monkeys previous albums more...and I love them too...like a lot. But this album is so sonically cohesive, and doesn't lack in lyrics or style. The album sounds so refined, that I love it!
Fave Songs: Arabella, Why'd You Only Call Me when you're High, Knee Socks
5) The FreeWheelin' Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan
Ending on a classic...my love for Bob Dylan. I have this love for classic sounding voices, and Bob Dylan is that sound. All his albums are beautiful, and worth a listen!
Fave songs: Blowin' in the Wind, Girl from the North Country, Oxford Town
What are your fave songs/albums? I love discovering new music, so any suggestions are welcome in the comment! xx
